Karachayevsk woman complains about law enforcers' actions at disconnecting her house from gas supply
During an attempt of gas workers to disconnect the house from gas supply, policemen used force against the owners, Irina Baskaeva, a resident of Karachayevsk, has stated. The gas service refers to Baskaevs' indebtedness, but the latter deny it.
On February 22, Irina Baskaeva complained to the "Caucasian Knot" that on February 17, during a gasmen's attempt to disconnect the Baskaevs' house, located in the settlement of Ordjonikidzevsky, from gas supply, policemen used force against the house owner.
A video of the incident was spread in local social networks. It is seen in the video posted on February 19 in the public politika09 on the Instagram that several policemen twisted on the back the arms a man, who was lowered to his knees.
The Baskaev family has no indebtedness for gas; the order to collect the debt was declared unlawful by the court, Irina Baskaeva claims. According to her story, on February 17, at about 11 a.m., policemen and gasmen arrived in her household "Two policemen entered the house. Then, my husband told them that he would not let them put a stub. My husband was not beaten up, but they strangled him; and he lost consciousness. Five policemen twisted him," the woman has stated.
