Ingush activist Rashid Aushev receives term in colony
The court has excluded any political motives from the case of Rashid Aushev, a participant of the March last year rally in Magas, and sentenced him to one year and 9 months in colony. His advocate treats the judgement as politically motivated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Aushev was detained on April 24, 2019. He stated his innocence of assaulting law enforcers. His disease has aggravated in the SIZO (pre-trial prison), his relatives assert.
According to the prosecution, at the rally in Magas, Aushev threw a chair at the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) fighters.
Initially, Aushev was charged with political hostility to the head of the republic and links with the organizers of the rally, but the court has excluded any political motives, the "Fortanga Org" Telegram channel has reported.
Aushev has been working as a physics and mathematics teacher for 14 years at a college in the village of Sredniye Achaluki, Yakha Ausheva, his mother, said. According to his sister, Zalina Ausheva, her brother happened to be at the rally just by occasion.
