Azerbaijan claims shelling attacks on three villages in Karabakh conflict zone
The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in villages on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 22 times within 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 17, Azerbaijan claimed 21 cases of the ceasefire violations, while a day earlier, Azerbaijan registered 24 cases of shelling attacks on the positions of its troops.
"Units of the Armenian armed forces 22 times violated the ceasefire in various directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today.
According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the villages of Gyzylgadjyly, Djafarli, and Bal Djafarli in the Gazakh District were shelled. According to the Yandex.Maps service, the Gazakh District of Azerbaijan borders on the Tavush District of Armenia.
As at 9:00 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
