In North Ossetia, refugees' camp was cut off from heat and electricity
For 12 days in a row already, the refugees of the settlement named "Maiskiy" in the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia have been living in their unheated dillies, since on November 6 the authorities stopped gas supply, and on November 14 disconnected the camp from electricity, the IA "Regnum" informs. Magomet Tsurov, commandant of the camp, told that people have to make fires to get warmed and cook their food. The poor situation with the refugees was aggravated by a sharp cooling, and today at night it snowed in the "Maiskiy."
"We have sent telegrams to everyone we know: Putin, Kozak, Mamsurov, but got no answer," Mr. Tsurov said.
The Ministry for Nationalities Matters of Ingushetia has told that they know about the heavy situation with the refugees in "Maiskiy."
The "Echo Moskvy" informs that the refugees' camp houses 130 persons who had remained homeless as a result of the Ossetian-Ingush conflict 14 years ago. Throughout all these years, the people have been waiting for their chance to return to their houses in the villages of the Prigorodny District.
