Foreign Intelligence Service ("SVR") denies its involvement in poisoning Litvinenko
The Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation has refuted accusations of possible involvement in poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko in London. They have officially declared there that after liquidation of Stepan Bandera, Ukrainian nationalist, the intelligence has not been engaged in this sort of operations, the "Interfax" reports.
On November 1, Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in one of London restaurants during a meeting with his informant Mario Skaramella. Mr. Litvinenko has informed that Skaramella gave his certain documents, which contained data on the murderers of journalist Anna Politkovskaya. In Litvinenko's words, some surnames of FSB employees mentioned there were known to him, the NEWSru.com reports.
