Facebook users are sceptical about Kadyrov's apologies

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the republic, has apologized for his words about opponents of the Chechen-Ingush agreement on the administrative border only to the elders who were present at that moment, and not to those Ingushes whom he had insulted, social network users have emphasized.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 9, at a meeting of the operative office on counteracting the spread of coronavirus, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his indignation at the negative comments in social networks and demanded from the authors thereof to leave the country. In particular, he rudely criticized opponents of the 2018 Chechen-Ingush border agreement. Subsequently, the head of Chechnya admitted that he had not controlled himself at the above sitting and apologized to the elders of the two republics.

The signing of the above border agreement triggered massive protests in Ingushetia.

The publications about Kadyrov's apologies on the Facebook caused distrust among users; some of them drew attention to the fact that his words were addressed not to those whom he had sharply insulted.

"I don't believe the demonstrative video, where he apologizes to Ingushes," the user Makhmadal Soalanyakan has written under the publication posted by the user Tamer Chakhk in his page.

"Why didn't Kadyrov say these words to those disagreeing people, when he came to Surkhakhi and Karabulak?" the user Glalglai Thxovre has written.
