In Chechnya, social network users criticize public apologies of conflict participants
In Chechnya, participants of a domestic conflict apologized for posting a video of their dispute on the Internet. Instagram users found their behaviour reckless and unethical.
The video entitled "Conflict between relatives" was posted on the public account "kadyrov_news95" on Instagram. The video shows a young man who, in particular, is voicing the following statement during a quarrel: "I'm not afraid of 'tapchakh' (a pistol). I'm not afraid of anyone, except Allah the Almighty!"
The elderly participant of the conflict recorded a new video in which he asked for forgiveness from the "padishah" (Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov).
In their comments, a lot of social network users criticized the behaviour of both participants of the conflict and a person who was filming the video.
"First they quarrel, and then they reconcile. Why couldn't they behave in a normal way? So, there would be no need to apologize later," wonders user ganibal_lektor666. "How could you post a video of a domestic conflict on the Internet? Are you not ashamed? You should reach understanding with your relatives and friends. Why do you choose to be dishonoured in front of the whole world?" wrote user zoya_t_2017.
The young man from the video was concerned that his behaviour could be interpreted as his lack of fear of Ramzan Kadyrov, some locals suggested. "The words 'tapchakh' and 'patchchakh' (padishah) can be easily confused. It is clear that the young man himself understood that fact, because he rushed to apologize," believes Lechi, an activist of a local NGO.
