Despite the fact that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has announced, since May 12, a relaxation of the restriction regime introduced due to coronavirus, Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, has stated that so far there have been no changes in the self-isolation regime. Instagram users criticized the decision not to lift restrictions and reminded Daudov about Kadyrov's words.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, Ramzan Kadyrov told reporters that a gradual easing of restrictions could begin after May 12.
However, on May 11, the Speaker Daudov, said that "there are no changes in Chechnya in terms of self-isolation regime." Daudov's video was posted in several Chechen publics on the Instagram.
Users of the public "ChP Chechnya" have expressed surprise at the information voiced by Daudov and reminded him of Kadyrov's words about the start of the gradual easing of restrictions since May 12.
"They said that on May 12, they'll release people. Then, [...] May 12 came and, as usual, they claim extension and extension," the user zakat_9 has complained.
"I don't understand one thing ... Since May 12, days-off are cancelled, but they wouldn't let people to work. It turns out that now we'll have to stay at home without salaries, doesn't it?" the user severnyiveter20 has asked.
