Head of Karelia appoints compensation to Kondopoga victims

Sergey Katanandov, Karelia's head, has signed a prescription to allocate 350,000 roubles from his reserve fund on rendering assistance to families of casualties and other victims of Kondopoga disorders.

According to the prescription, the mothers of the two perished men will receive 100,000 roubles each, and those who have suffered injuries will get 25,000 roubles each, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports with a reference to the press service of the Karelian government.

We remind you that the cause of the disorders that burst out in the city of Kondopoga, Republic of Karelia, was a mass fight of locals with Caucasian natives, in the course of which Gregory Slizov, 27, and Sergey Usin, 32, a security of the Central District Hospital, were killed. Mass disorders immediately followed, and practically all the members of national minorities left Kondopoga.
