Law enforcers report elimination of hiding with ammunition in Chechnya

In the Vedeno District of Chechnya, FSB agents and fighters of the National Guard of Russia discovered and destroyed a militant hiding with ammunition. The hiding was presumably arranged by militants from a grouping led by Gakaev brothers, the spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office reports today.

A camouflaged hiding containing ammunition for automatic weapons, explosives, and fuses for artillery shells was found in a wooded area on the outskirts of the village of Tsa-Vedeno in the Vedeno District by FSB agent together with fighters from a unit of the National Guard of Russia, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told today by the spokesman for the military commandant's office.

"In addition to ammunition, the hiding also contained prohibited extremist materials. The contents of the hiding were destroyed by combat engineers," the spokesman for the military commandant's office noted.

The hiding was presumably arranged by militants from a grouping led by Gakaev brothers, which was active in the Vedeno District and neighbouring areas until January 2013," the spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office reported.
