European deputies join Russian-Chechen Friendship Society

Heidi Hautala, leader of the Green faction in parliament of Finland, told in her exclusive interview to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" that she would join the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society (RCFS), which has its branches in Nizhniy Novgorod and Chechnya. "The RCFS, which is experiencing serious difficulties, is inviting members-guarantors from abroad. I've already agreed to go into organization," Mr. Hautala said.

"First of all, it is a symbolic act intended to improve our capabilities to watch from abroad what is going on with these NGOs and their members in Russia," the Finnish MP has explained.

According to the head of the "Green Union" Party of Finland, apart from her, there are several more national parliamentarians in Europe willing to become members-guarantors of the RCFS.

We remind you that on October 13 the Nizhniy Novgorod Regional Court liquidated the RCFS for the outstanding conviction of its leader S. Dmitrievskiy under "extremist" charges.
