Residents of Chechnya criticize Trump for emotional statements about Tsarnaev
US President Donald Trump has treated the decision to revise the case against Djokhar Tsarnaev as absurd, and called the convict "a beast." Instagram users have expressed their outrage at the Trump's statement.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July, the US Court of Appeal (CoA) cancelled the death penalty and decided to reconsider the sentence to Djokhar Tsarnaev.
The Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev brothers committed the terror act at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed during his detention, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death by a court in Boston on June 25, 2015, and after that he was sent to a maximum security prison.
On August 1, Donald Trump reacted to the decision to revise Tsarnaev's case. "They (the CoA) have just returned his death verdict to the lower instance. They have been arguing about it for a long time. Just think! This is ridiculous," President Trump said during his speech in Florida. He also called Tsarnaev "a beast," the TASS reports.
Users of several Chechen Instagram publics have criticized the Trump's statement.
"It was said by the president who is killing people all over the world," the user 7muslim777 has written. "Real beasts are those experts who had set up him and his brother by staging a performance," the user way_history has noted. "Both in Boston and in the USA in general, there are much worse beasts that had killed both civilians and innocent children in the East," the user razboynik_95 has stated.
