Mironov demands from Beslan Commission to present its report before the end of the year

Sergey Mironov, speaker of the Council of Federation, has put a task before the Parliamentary Commission on Beslan, to finalize its report by the end of 2006.

Last week, a member of the Commission informed that the report would be finished in the 20s of December, and then it would be delivered to the Chambers of the Federal Assembly, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The publication date of the report had been postponed earlier after Yuri Saveliev, a member of the Parliamentary Commission, published his own report on Beslan.

In September 2004, a group of terrorists captured 1128 hostages in the school of the town of Beslan, North Ossetia. As a result of the act of terror, 186 children and 145 adults perished, 728 Beslan residents and 55 agents of power forces were wounded. In the course of the storm of the school building, 12 employees of special services and one local who helped to release the hostages perished. 31 militants were killed, and one of the attackers later faced the trial.
