Italian and British journalists know who poisoned Litvinenko

The "Gazeta.Ru" reports that journalists from The News of the World newspaper have managed to find out the name of Litvinenko's poisoner. A source in special agencies has told this news to the journalists. However, the newspaper evaded to disclose the supposed poisoner's name, referring to investigation's interests. The source who delivered this information has stressed the evidence of the fact that "a campaign is underway to liquidate all those who irritate the new Russian regime."

The Italian edition Corriere della Sera reports the name and surname of the man who may be involved in Alexander Litvinenko's murder. This is Igor Vlasov, an employee of the Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service ("SVR").

The document that Mario Scaramella had given to Litvinenko contained information on the members of the "Chest i Dostoinstvo" (Honour and Dignity), organization of foreign intelligence veterans, headed by Colonel Valentin Velichko, The Daily Telegraph reports.

The edition got at its disposal a full text of the letter written by Evgeniy Limarev, former Litvinenko's colleague. This was the document that Litvinenko received on November 1 in the sushi bar Itsu in the Piccadilly, and then brought to businessman Boris Berezovskiy's office.

In the document, Mr. Limarev was accusing the intelligence veterans of implication in the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, journalist of the "Novaya Gazeta."
