Mufti of Chechnya limits attendance at Friday prayers
The Mufti of Chechnya required from men over 65 not to attend Friday prayers and urged residents of the republic to limit attendance at memorial gatherings.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Chechen authorities have announced tough measures against violators of the coronavirus restrictions.
On Instagram, Chechen Mufti Salakh-Khadji Mezhiev appealed to residents of the republic and called on them, especially elderly people, to take care of themselves and to comply with the restrictions imposed in connection with the pandemic.
The Mufti of Chechnya has noted that the preventive measures are needed to avoid the closure of mosques. Salakh-Khadji Mezhiev has also requested people to limit their contacts and not stay long at memorial gatherings, but simply bring their condolences and leave.
Let us remind you that the leader of Chechnya and his associates, with rare exceptions, ignored the strict requirements for wearing masks in public places, which they themselves set for ordinary residents.
