Blogger Alieva links blocking her Instagram account with her resonant posts
Mariam Alieva, whose Instagram blog was blocked by the social network after her post about a paedophilia suspect, is taking measures to restore her account. Alieva has many ill-wishers, as her posts cover the problems usually hushed up in the Caucasus, Svetlana Anokhina, a journalist, believes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 15, the Dagestani Investigating Committee announced the arrest of a resident of Kizilyurt, suspected of illegal circulation of pornographic materials and committing debauchery against minors. He was detained only after rights defenders made public his victims' complaints. The first post about this was made by Mariam Alieva, the author of a popular Dagestani Instagram blog "Mountain Woman's Diaries".
Shortly after the post, Alieva's Instagram account was blocked. The blogger herself hopes for a quick solution of her problem and de-blocking her Instagram account.
Ms Anokhina does not treaty the blocking of Alieva's account as completely unexpected. According to her version, Alieva has a huge number of ill-wishers.
"Of course, a huge number of people have complaints towards Mariam; because she says right things, let's say it is this way. For example, she firmly defends the idea that the rapist is solely to blame for the violence, and most people always do not like this – they want to hear that the victim was improperly dressed, and therefore she was raped," Svetlana Anokhina has explained.
