Authorities of Tavush Region treat message about transfer of villages to Azerbaijan as fake
The administration of the Tavush Region of Armenia has refuted the information that several villages and part of the road would be transferred under Azerbaijan's control, the "News-Armenia" reported in the evening on January 7.
"We urge not to spread disinformation, not to endanger the security of our borders and residents of border areas," the "News-Armenia" has quoted the administration as stating.
The "Sputnik Armenia" also urges people "not to believe disinformation," and specifies that about 20 villages of the Tavush Region and a number of sections of the Yerevan-Tbilisi highway are located near the border with Azerbaijan.
