Instagram users treat a video with Gadaev as staged
A video with Magomed Gadaev, deported from France, disseminated on the evening of April 14 on social media, was filmed in a basement, the man’s smile looks not natural, and he himself is wearing a winter jacket, which does not correspond to the season, users of the social media note.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 9, 37-year-old Magomed Gadaev was deported from France to Russia. After his deportation, on April 11, Chechen law enforcers took him to Chechnya in connection with a criminal case on possession of weapons. On April 14, Magomed Gadaev refused the services of an advocate provided to him by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) “Memorial”*. On the same day, the video appeared on Instagram, in which Magomed Gadaev claimed that he was not tortured or beaten.
In their comments, Instagram users expressed their scepticism about the video footage.
“The man looks not good,” user kavkaz_95_06_05_1 noted. “Which basement was the video filmed in?" user shabtai_tsevi asked. “Judging by his face, you can see how alive and well he is. Another circus show has been staged for us,” user djigitwolf wrote.
“Stop that! People see this staged performance. Do you take us for fools?” user nohciborz_vu wrote in the Chechen language as translated by the “Caucasian Knot”.
“Just one question ... Why is he wearing a winter jacket?” user salavdi539 asked.
