Karabakh authorities ignore demands of Stepanakert activists

On April 29, activists of the oppositional movement "Moyo Pravo" (My Right) blocked the traffic in Freedom Square, demanding a report on the loans granted to officials, but none of the government officials came out to them. The protests will continue, the protesters have announced.

After the start of the action in Vazgen Sargsyan Street, supporters of the oppositional movement "My Right" marched along Azatamartikneri (Soldiers-Liberators) Avenue to Freedom Square, blocking the motor traffic until 9:30 p.m. However, neither the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, nor members of the government or MPs came out to meet oppositionists.

The protesters intend to seek answers from the leadership of Nagorno-Karabakh about the loans granted to officials, said Zhanna, an activist of the "My Rights" movement. "The protest actions will continue until the republic's leadership agrees to meet us and answer our questions," she told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
