Court finds law enforcer's actions against Diana Dibirova to be illegal
On August 3, the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan upheld the decision of the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala, which found the actions of the policeman, who had declared a warning to the student, Diana Dibirova, for a solo picket she never held.
Dibirova went to court after a policeman issued a warning to her on January 26 on inadmissibility to violate the law. The warning stated that Dibirova had held a solo picket in Makhachkala, the "Chernovik" (Draft) portal writes. However, law enforcers failed to present any proofs that the girl had held the picket.
The girl claims that she hadn't held any picket. According to Diana's advocate, Marat Ismailov, even if she had held a picket, it does not mean that illegal actions had been committed.
In March, the above first-instance court found the policeman's actions to be illegal, but law enforcers then appealed against the judgement, which was upheld by the Dagestani SC. Marat Ismailov said that now Dibirova's defence plans to demand bringing the above policeman to disciplinary responsibility and force him to apologize.
