Baku accuses Armenian militaries of attacking border guard

A serviceman of the Azerbaijani border troops was stabbed when two Armenian servicemen attacked him, the Azerbaijani State Frontier Service has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan are periodically exchanging accusations of shelling. On Wednesday (August 25), the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that on August 24, Armenian militaries shelled the Azerbaijani positions located in the Kelbadjar District; and Nagorno-Karabakh reported that Azerbaijan had shelled Armenian dwelling settlements.

Two Armenian militaries attacked Ruslan Shiraliev, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani border troops in the territory of the "Gubadly" border-combat point located near the Ashagy Djibikli village of the Gubadly District, the Azerbaijan State Frontier Service has informed.

Armenian soldiers wounded the Azerbaijani border guard in the chest and fled, when border guard units arrived to help the stabbed soldier.
