Social media users forward to Kadyrov their questions about Chechen “maroon berets”

Seven special forces fighters got maroon berets after passing an exam in the Stavropol Territory, Ramzan Kadyrov announced. Social media users pointed out to the leader of Chechnya that a scandal with the Chechen fighters, who were transported in cars during an examination march, casted doubt on their right to wear maroon berets.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 17, journalist Alexander Kots reported that special forces fighters of the 604th Red Banner Special-Purpose Centre “Vityaz” took off their maroon berets in protest after several dozen fighters were removed from the distance of the march in Grozny, but still got maroon berets.

During the examination march, one of the stages of the tests for the right to wear a maroon beret, some candidates from Chechnya were transported by their friends in cars. Active “maroon berets” expressed their indignation over such a situation, and a fight broke out, Alexander Kots reported.

On his VKontakte page, Ramzan Kadyrov wrote his congratulations to the fellow countrymen who got maroon berets.

In their comments, many social media users questioned the result of the Chechen special forces fighters.

“Are these the ones who were transported in cars during the examination march?” user Fayruza Nabieva asked ironically.

“Such an examination is a shame,” user Sasha Medvedev noted.
