Kadyrov’s assistant detained in Saint Petersburg on drug case
The police detained an employee of the Chechen representative office in the Northwestern Federal District within an investigation into a drug purchase case.
The information about the detention of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s assistant has been disseminated today by the “Fontanka”.
On October 26, inspectors of the Saint Petersburg GIBDD (road police) stopped a car not far from the office of the representative of the Chechen Republic in the Northwestern Federal District. An employee of the representative office was driving the car. The police inspectors seized three grams of a narcotic psychostimulant from the car. The driver was detained for two days, and the pre-trial restriction measure is to be determined by court today. According to an advocate, today, the detainee is being escorted to doctors to find out if he needs hospitalization. The detained employee of the Chechen representative office is a former security guard of Apti Alaudinov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya, the “47news” reported.
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported that law enforcers engaged in the investigation into the fraud case detained in Crimea Isa Edilsultanov, a representative of the leader of Chechnya in the Ivanovo Region. Besides, in October 2017, Ukrainian law enforcers detained Ramzan Tsitsulaev, a former representative of the leader of Chechnya in Ukraine, who was put on the wanted list in Russia in a case on the kidnapping of businessman Ali Zakriev and extortion of money from him. Ramzan Tsitsulaev was extradited to Russia, in October 2020, the case was transferred to the court.
