Resonance in social networks entails threat for Makhachkala dancer
The girl who danced a frank dance in Makhachkala hid her face, realizing that she would be condemned, but the police could find her and take care of her safety, Albert Esedov, a political analyst, believes. The video clip was an advertising action of a store, Shamil Khadulaev, the chairman of the Coordination Council of Dagestani NGOs, has suggested.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Telegram and Instagram users had urged to punish the girl who performed a dance in a Makhachkala street, as well as the person who filmed her. They suggested that the dance video and the subsequent video where the girl apologized without taking off her mask were posted for the hype purpose.
The official public of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on Instagram was bombarded with demands to find and punish the girl for her "indecent dance". Social network users split into two camps: some believe that this was a provocation, others treated the girl's act as thoughtless, Albert Esedov, a political analyst, has noted.
On December 16, a video with apologies for the dance was posted on the Instagram.
Shamil Khadulaev has treated the video as an advertising campaign of the store, the sign of which was visible during the dance. According to his version, the girl stood so that the sign was visible.
