Military experts assess HIMARS' prospects in Southern Caucasus

Russian MLRSs (multiple launch rocket systems) "Smerch" (Dust Storm) are close to HIMARSs (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) in characteristics, but inferior in accuracy, Alexander Khramchikhin has pointed out. Azerbaijan has analogues to HIMARS made in Israel, Pavel Felgengauer has noted. In Southern Caucasus, the Azerbaijani Army is better armed with high-precision MLRSs, which is why it achieved success during the hostilities in Karabakh, Vasily Dandykin believes. Experts have suggested that the USA will not supply HIMARS to Armenia or Azerbaijan, as they do not want to strengthen any of the parties in the Karabakh conflict.

The blogger of the "Caucasian Knot" with a nickname "Wind from Apsheron" wrote that American HIMARSs becomes a new legend after the "Bayraktar" drones.

Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia are equipped with modified "Smerch" MLRSs, Alexander Khramchikhin, a military expert, has informed.

In his turn, Pavel Felgengauer has pointed out that Armenia has "Iskander" missiles in its army.

According to Vasily Dandykin, the strongest and best equipped, including with high-precision MLRSs, army of Southern Caucasus is the Azeri one.

According to his version, there is no need to supply HIMARSs to any South-Caucasian country.
