GPO updates list of Azerbaijani victims of mine explosions
In the period from November 10, 2020, to August 2, 2022, in Azerbaijan, seven military servicemen and 32 civilians perished as a result of mine explosions in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Azeri General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has informed.
According to the GPO, since November 10, 2020, when the trilateral ceasefire declaration came into force, and until August 2 this year, seven Azerbaijani militaries and 32 Azerbaijani civilians perished as a result of mine explosions in the Karabakh conflict zone.
On August 2, the APA News Agency added, citing the GPO's press service, that 117 servicemen and 67 civilians of Azerbaijan received various gravity traumas during mine explosions.
Let us remind you that Armenian authorities did not specify the total number of casualties killed by mine explosions. However, on March 21, the Armenian Investigating Committee informed that 3822 people perished during the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020; besides, other 208 people, including 21 civilians, were reported missing. According to Azerbaijani authorities, as of May 8, 2021, a total of 2895 Azerbaijani militaries had perished during the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in the fall of 2020; and 19 others were missing.
