Raids of Chechen law enforcers in Dagestan frighten tourists
Chechen law enforcers are conducting raids in Dagestan and take away boys and girls who are treated as violators of Vainakh rules of decency, residents of Chechnya, who came to Dagestan on vacation, have complained.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 11, Ramzan Kadyrov ordered his officials and policemen to stop cases of inappropriate behaviour of "individual Chechen nationals outside the republic."
Messages are circulated in the Chechen segment of social networks about law enforcers' raids in Dagestan after the appearance of "video clips in which young Chechen nationals behave inappropriately to Vainakh rules of decency," the "Chechnya Today" State News Agency has reported. "Apart from Dagestan, similar cases have been reported from Pyatigorsk," the report says.
It is illustrated by three audio records. "Those who are drunk and dancing are detained and taken away by our guys. Yesterday, before my arrival, they took away one woman. Another guy was dancing in a strange way – he was also taken away," says the author of one of the audio records.
A girl, the author of another record, says that law enforcers' actions had frightened her. "I'm still trembling. I'm in shock and can't come to my senses. Here, they take away all those who drink and behave badly, and those who go crazy dancing lezginka. Everywhere militaries (law enforcers, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") are here," she said.
