Case details of Zaur Radjabov, Makhachkala resident, announced

The Leninsky District Court of Makhachkala has fined Zaur Radjabov, a local resident, by 30,000 roubles, recognizing that his posts in the Instagram* social network had discredited Russian militaries.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 26, it became known that the court had fined Radjabov after finding that his publication in the social network had discredited Russian militaries.

According to investigators, Zaur had placed several posts in the Instagram* social network. One of them contained a statement against the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine; the second one contained a demand to return Russian troops to the places of their permanent deployment; and the third one contained criticism of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Let us remind you that since March 4, 2022, an article has been in force in Russia that provides for a fine on citizens for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. Under this article, participants in pacifist actions and authors of respective posts in social networks are held administratively accountable. However, any repeated violation of this article within a year threatens with criminal prosecution.
