Resident of Volzhsky challenges decision to draft him into army

A conscript from Volzhsky filed a claim to court against the decisions of the military registration and enlistment offices, which declared him fit for military service, despite his serious illnesses.

A hearing was held in the Central District Court of Volgograd on the claim filed by 23-year-old Vladislav Kushnir. In October, the young man underwent a medical examination, where he showed his medical documents.

Earlier, people with illnesses like those Vladislav had been diagnosed with “were definitely not accepted into the army,” the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent was explained by Anton Schurov, a plaintiff’s representative. “Now for some reason the doctors have changed their minds,” said the lawyer.

If a conscript does not agree with the “fit” category that the draft commission and the military registration and enlistment office have determined for him, he has the right to be re-examined in the hospital where he was examined, notes lawyer Sergey Semushin.
