Woman from Maykop accused of collaborating with Ukraine

The court has arrested a Maykop woman for cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU). She promised to collect information and discussed the transfer of her relative to the side of Ukraine, the press service of the Department for Adygea of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Service) has reported.

"The woman provided SSU's agents with her personal data and confirmed her intention to assist them in the activities directed against Russia's security, including by collecting and transmitting various information," the "Interfax" reports.

Also, according to investigators, she discussed a possibility of organizing a transition to the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for her relative, who is serving a sentence at a correctional facility and planning to enter into a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) for his military service in the special military operation (SMO) zone. The woman offered her assistance in activities directed against Russia's interests.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that the court found a Maykop resident guilty of treason and sentenced him to 4.5 years of freedom deprivation.
