Chaika confirms that Anna Politkovskaya's murder is cleared

Yuri Chaika, General Public Prosecutor of Russia, has stated today at the press conference in Yerevan that the murder case of journalist Anna Politkovskaya is solved, and once the investigation is over, it will be transferred to the court.

"Petros Garibyan, senior inspector for especially important cases who heads the investigatory group for the journalist's murder case, has already informed that the case was cleared. I can just add that in this case we have successfully cooperated with our colleagues from Ukraine and Latvia," said Mr Chaika, who came to Yerevan to take part in the sitting of the Coordination Board of Public Prosecutors of CIS countries, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
