Teacher in Dagestan fined for speaking out against SMO
The Tlyaratinsky District has fined Zharula Ramazanov, a school teacher, by 30,000 roubles for speaking against the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine and deaths of servicemen from Dagestan there.
According to law enforcers, the teacher "in the presence of his fellow villagers expressed the need to prevent the use of the Russian Armed forces in conducting the SMO," the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has informed.
While in a public place, Ramazanov spoke out against the SMO in Ukraine "in order to preserve lives and health of natives of Dagestan taking part in it."
Ramazanov admitted his guilt in court. The court recognized remorse for what he had done and his dependent disabled spouse as mitigating circumstances.
