Believer from Krasnodar Territory suspected of involvement in extremist organization

A resident of the Vyselkovsky District has become a suspect within a criminal case for active participation in the religious organization "Jehovah's Witnesses"*.

According to investigators, from July 2020 to February 2022, the man took part in meetings, rituals and educational events held by Jehovah's Witnesses*.

A criminal case has been opened against the believer for participation in the activities of an extremist organization, the local branch if the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported in its Telegram channel.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in October, a Jehovah's Witness* from the village of Zelenchukskaya was accused of involvement in an extremist organization.

*All the 396 Russian organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses were recognized as extremist, and their activities in Russia were banned by court decision.
