Armenian Ombudsman condemns explosion at the editorial board of the newspaper

Armen Arutyunyan, Ombudsman of Armenia, has condemned the explosion that thundered yesterday, on December 13 at the door of the office of the oppositional newspaper "Chorord Ishkhanutyun" (Fourth Power). This statement was made by Mr Arutyunyan today.

"The terror unfolded against the editorial board of the 'Chorord Ishkhanutyun' newspaper is a threat to the freedom of speech and pluralism in Armenia," runs the statement.

"With account of the fact that the police of Armenia has immediately undertaken all the necessary actions, I'm sure that everything will be done to find those guilty and bring them to responsibility," the IA "News-Georgia" quotes Armen Arutyunyan.
