Movement "Dalga" holds action near Iranian embassy in Baku

On Thursday, December 11, the Youth Organization "Dalga" (Wave), acting within the Week of Human Rights, held a protest action before the embassy of Iran to Baku.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the action started with reading ayats from the Koran on human rights issues. Then, the 12 participants of the action raised posters with phrases: "Imam Ali is ashamed of present Iran" and "Defend the rights of southern Azerbaijanis". Besides, participants of the action staged, right in front of the embassy building, dramatized scenes on the topic of human rights, having demonstrated in this manner their solidarity with Azerbaijanis in Iran.

The embassy of Iran gave no reaction to the event. The police that arrived a bit later tried to detain the activists, but they managed to run away.
