Court investigation of Anna Politkovskaya's murder is over

The Moscow District Military Court has completed the court investigation on the murder case of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, as the presiding judge Evgeniy Zubov announced on February 6.

"I hereby complete the court investigation. Our next stage is judicial pleadings to be held on February 16", Judge Zubov has announced.

He has added that the first floor at the pleadings will be given to the prosecution, then - to the suffered party, and then - to the defence, as the "Interfax" reports.

The RIA "Novosti" reports that on February 6 another jurywoman was recalled from the jury. She told the court that she would be busy till two in the afternoon, but can appear at the session afterwards. However, the judge has decided that "it's senseless to lose time", therefore the jurywoman was dismissed from the board.
