"Russian March" cancelled in many regions

Following the practice of Moscow and St. Petersburg, many regional capitals of the country cancelled the "Russian March." For instance, in the Krasnodar Territory, over 5000 persons requested not to admit a march of that sort.

However, in Irkutsk the "Russian March," which is open for everybody, will beheld, the "Novye Izvestia" writes today. In Krasnoyarsk, the initiative group of the Movement Against Illegal Immigration (MAII) was denied to hold a march along the central streets of the city because of "impossibility to block the traffic." However, the MAII was allowed to hold a picket in the city centre, the "Commersant" newspaper writes. In Novosibirsk, the "Russian March" will take place but under the Orthodox banners. While in Chita the organizers of "Russian March" were denied on the pretext that the application gave the name of the holiday as the "Day of Liberation of the Russian State from Polish Yoke." In Nizhni Novgorod, the regional branch of the MAII was refused a permit to hold the "Russian March" on November 4, and offered to do it on any other day. The representatives of the MAII refused and stated that they would join the Sacred Procession also appointed on November 4. Kazan has planned a "mobile picket" on November 4, which is already named a "Tatar March." It is organized by the All-Tatar Public Centre named after Marat Mulyukov. The activists of this movement will march across the centre of Kazan with the posters: "Yes - to the Federation! No - to Authoritarianism!"; "Stop Fascism in Russia!"; "Politkovskaya - Another Victim of Russian Terrorism!" and "Pass the 1992 Tatarstan Constitution!" the NEWSru.com reports.

The nationalistic organizations, which intend to hold the actions of the "Russian March" on November 4 in various cities and towns all over the country, step out, in particular, under the slogans against natives of the Caucasus.
