New charge presented to editor of "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper

The Ministry of National Security (MNS) has put forward a new charge - tax evasion - against Einullah Fatullaev, editor-in-chief of the newspapers "Real Azerbaijan" and "Gyundelik Azerbaijan."

Uzeir Dzhafarov, an employee of these newspapers, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the new charge was presented because the previous ones (threat by means of terror, insult and slander) cannot be proved and will be easily refuted at the forthcoming trial.

The new accusation is based on the data collected during interrogations of the employees of the newspapers at the MNS about their salaries and royalties and about the financial status of the editions. The investigation intends to prove that Mr Fatullaev has concealed most of the newspapers' incomes from taxation.
