The "Voice of Beslan" insists on re-examining terror act victims' bodies

Today, the "Voice of Beslan" All-Russian NGO has lodged a cassation complaint to the Promyshlenny Court of North Ossetia against the decision of this Court upholding the legality of victims' bodies' examination.

The complaint shall be considered within a month.

The "Voice of Beslan" is asking to cancel the Court's decision and send the case to a new consideration by a new composition. Besides, the cassation complaint asks to take into account the experts' conclusion.

"The experts should have given their conclusion on the reason of hostages' death. According to their version, it was inexpedient to hold a comprehensive examination since the reason was evident. In this case, one of Federal Laws and Russian Criminal-Remedial Code were breached," Ella Kesaeva, leader of the "Voice of Beslan", has told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

On March 13, the Promyshlenny Court of North Ossetia rejected the complaint of the "Voice of Beslan" All-Russian NGO claiming to recognize the outcomes of examination of the bodies of terror act victims to be illegal.

  • Resident of North Ossetia treats compensation for beating up by law enforcer as insufficient

Soslan Dzidakhanov disagrees with the amount of compensation for his suffered moral harm that the Ardonsky Court awarded him for being beaten up by a law enforcer. In the Russian judicial practice, it is customary to decrease the compensation amount; and the resonance from Tskaev's case has partially contributed to a decrease in the number of tortures in the republic, Vladimir Tskaev's widow and his advocate have stressed.
