"Novaya Gazeta": nothing new in investigation's statement on Politkovskaya's case
The editorial board of the "Novaya Gazeta" (New Newspaper) thinks that today's statement of the State Prosecution that the investigation has established and announced into search the killer of Anna Politkovskaya, the paper's observer, has no news.
"See what 'Novaya Gazeta' wrote last October, and you will see the same, there's no news in it," Roman Shleinov, editor of the investigations department of "Novaya Gazeta", made his comments to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In Mr Shleinov's opinion, the investigation goes its way, and there is no need to hasten it.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that today the State Prosecution has declared that in Anna Politkovskaya's murder case the direct crime performer has been established. At present, measures are taken to search and detain him.
In total, 9 suspects are involved in this case, including FSB lieutenant colonel Pavel Ryaguzov. Today, the Moscow Garrison Military Court has extended his arrest till August 21.
