Abkhazia asserts that Russian families are ousted from territory of Georgia

Ruslan Kishmariya, Plenipotentiary Envoy of President of Abkhazia in the Gali District, has stated that on August 12, when Abkhazia announced forcing Georgian policemen out of the Kodori Gorge, Russian families ousted from the Zugdidi District of Georgia started to arrive to Abkhazia.

"Now, 14 persons - Russian families with children from Zugdidi, who were driven out of their houses by Georgian policemen dressed in civilian clothes, - have arrived to the territory of the Gali District of Abkhazia," said Ruslan Kishmariya on August 13.

"Today, these people are cared by the Abkhazian Emergency Ministry; they will be evacuated to Sukhumi and provided with all the necessary assistance," the "Interfax" quotes the Plenipotentiary Envoy as saying.

Mr Kishmariya's information was not confirmed by other sources.
