Dagestan SC reopens trial of Farid Babaev's murder

The Supreme Court of Dagestan has made a decision to continue consideration of the murder case of Farid Babaev, leader of the regional branch of "Yabloko" Party in the open regime.

The "Gazeta.Ru" reports that today, after interrogation of prosecution witnesses, judge Ibram Garunov who presides at the trial has made a decision to continue in the open regime. The next session of the court planning to start interrogating defence witnesses will take place on November 26.

On Monday, November 24, at 11:15 a.m., in the Prechistenckie Vorota Square, near the monument to Friedrich Engels (Kropotkinskaya Metro), the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" will hold a picket in memory of Farid Babaev.
