Stavropol Territory prepares referendum on accession to Belarus
Public organizations of Stavropol are busy preparing a referendum on accession of the Territory to Belarus; now, people sign-in in support of the referendum. On January 15-26, pickets will be held in five public places of the city.
"In case of unwillingness of the Russian authorities to advance towards fast and complete reunion of brotherly nations, the initiators of the action offer to hold a nationwide referendum on reunion of Belarus and Stavropol Territory as the integral part of Russian land, and on temporary, until complete reunion of Belarus and Stavropol Territory, to transfer the rule of the Stavropol Territory to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko," the initiators of the referendum "Together with Belarus" have explained.
As reported by the Stavropol city protest committee, Lukashenko did not place incomes from sale of oil and gas to the USA in his own pocket, and he did not destroy the "Mir" space station. The Russian authorities, in their turn, last year spoiled relations with a number of neighbouring countries. As a result, for example, "the Kazakhstan gas is now transported by the enemy's pipe," the "Charter-97" Agency reports.
The Belarusian newspaper "We" writes that the authors of the notification about the picketing warn: on January 12-14, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., a VAZ-2102 car with a megaphone will tour the city and inform residents.
