This year, Ingushetia to start building four factories

This year, Ingushetia plans to start construction of four enterprises, said the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov, in whose opinion Ingushetia is still subsidized by 90 percent from the federal budget.

According to Mr Evkurov, this year his republic plans to start building a brick factory, an asphalt plant, a dolomite powder processing factory and a factory for processing non-metallic materials. They plan, according to the leader, development of open pit mines and create own capacities in gravel and sand. Besides, Ingushetia plans to open new dairy and meat shop. The project for processing of fish skin for making clothes, which was launched at a factory in Nazran, was treated by the head of the republic as Ingushetia's brand.

Yunus-Bek Evkurov said that Northern Caucasus cannot survive through tourism only, since "the economy has another foundation"; however, the republic plans to develop tourism either. "Historically, the republics of Northern Caucasus rely on the agro-industrial complex," said Evkurov. The second direction of economic development, according to his story, is the building complex; the third one is the minor individual entrepreneurship, the head of Ingushetia said in his interview to the edition named "Expert".

In May, in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" Yunus-Bek Evkurov noted that investors from China "want to start the sewing production facilities and a greenhouse complex worth 3-4 billion roubles," while Russian investors are ready to invest into small sewing shops.
