Development of diving tourism started in Georgia
Development of diving tourism and realization of a project of underwater biological multiformity has started in Georgia.
June, 12, was the day of an official start of the tourist season in Georgia.
According to the information from the Ministry, the tourists who came to have a rest in Adzharia this summer will already be able to dive. Experts sank an old ship in the sea not far from Batumi where artificial reefs will be created.
”The tourists will be able to dive here this year. Development of an artificial diving infrastructure has started. All comers will be able to see the sights of the drowned ship and the underwater space”, “Trend” quotes Goga Khachidze, Minister of Environmental Protection of Georgia.
Before creation of biological multiformity the ship will be covered with mollusks and seaweeds which will attract fish and create a beautiful underwater space here”, “Business-Georgia” reports.
