Residents of Dagestan whose house was damaged in special operation to get 70,000 roubles

The damage to the private house, owned by residents of the village of Mutsalaul, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, was assessed at 70,000 roubles.

The compensation was promised to the victims by the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan who spoke to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

However, according to Mairbek Agaev, Editor of the Information and Policy Department of the Dagestani newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft), as of July 20, no payment of compensation was started.

Let us remind you that the on July 12, the policemen, who were searching Mutsalaul house by house, threw grenades at one of the houses; as a result, the building was severely damaged.

The officers apologized for the damage, saying that the attack was a result of operative data that a group of militants was hiding in the basement of the house.

The damaged house was inhabited by two orphans – brothers Ali and Umar Zainulabidov. According to Mairbek Agaev, Ashad Magomedov, the brothers' uncle, drew attention of Abidin Karchigaev, Deputy Minister of the Dagestani MIA, who was present at the special operation, to the "obvious injustice of what had happened".
