Krasnodar Regional Court upholds verdict to Elena Spasskaya and Mikhail Batrakov

Today, the verdict in the case against Elena Spasskaya and Mikhail Batrakov, which was challenged by the lawyers of the convicted persons at the judicial panel on criminal cases of the Krasnodar Regional Court, was left unchanged.

"We intend to challenge the verdict as soon as it will be received. We will appeal to a higher authority, the advisory council of the Ministry of Justice, to assess the legitimacy of the adopted judicial acts. Besides, we will send complaints to the Ombudsperson, to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR)," the lawyer Gennady Karlyshev stated.

Persons, who attended the trial, also noticed the behaviour of lawyer Roman Yakovlev, who during the break came to the court session and conducted negotiations with judges. "That fact is unacceptable," Arthur Dashyan, the husband of Elena Spasskaya, believes.
