In Stavropol, attackers on market sellers call themselves "polar bears", witnesses assert

In Stavropol, as a result of the shooting at the "Yuzhny" (Southern) marketplace, 5 persons were brought to the city hospital No. 4. This was reported by the hospital's front desk. One more wounded person was delivered to the regional hospital. Automatic weapons were used in the shooting. Eyewitnesses state that the attackers called themselves the "polar bears".

According to the medical staff of the Stavropol city hospital No. 4, all persons, brought to the health care institution, are sellers; at present, they undergo medical examination, "all victims are on their feet." One more victim was brought to the regional hospital.

Among the wounded persons there are Gasan Suleimanov, 34, Seryozha Razgoyan, 30, Tolik Razgoyan, 29, Amir Razgoyan, 50, and Gamlet Razgoyan, 37.

The wounded persons told the surgeon, who examined them, that when they were in their trade stalls, they were approached by a car, from which fire was opened, the STRC (State TV and Radio Company) "Stavropolye" reports.

"5 persons entered the market, and they had a conflict with the sellers of agricultural products for unknown reasons. They opened fire from unidentified weapons, supposedly traumatic weapons, and as a result, 5 persons were wounded," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Evgeny Arnautov, Chief of the press service of the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in the Stavropol Territory, as saying.

The seller, who introduced himself as Rudik, at whose KAMAZ vehicle at conflict began, has reported that the attackers introduced themselves as staff members of the FSB.

"Here, I sell fruits and vegetables. I was approached by several guys, and one of them said that they were from the FSB; however, he failed to present his documents. They approached me and asked me: 'Where are all your people?' I did not understand who 'our people' were. Then, one of them hit me in my face, knocked me down and hit me with his foot to my head. When my brother hurried up to help me, he pulled out a pistol and shot him in his chest, almost at close range. My brother fell down, and other sellers rushed to us. And at that moment, all guys, who approached me, six or seven persons, pulled out weapons, submachine guns, and pistols and began to shoot to all people, who ran to us, and then they themselves ran away," Rudik said.

The sellers remembered that the guys ran away and shouted: "We are 'polar bears', we put things in order here!", the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" reports.
