Police officer heavily wounded in armed clash in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, during a special operation, a police officer, born in 1980, was wounded in his chest; he was hospitalized in grave condition, said a spokesman for the regional department of the FSB.

Early this morning, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the city of Malgobek and part of the Malgobek District of Ingushetia. In the course of the operation, four alleged members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were killed; and two others were detained.

According to the available operative information of law enforcement bodies, all those killed and detained in the Malgobek District are active members of the grouping involved in preparation and commission of the terror act at the funeral of the policeman on August 19, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"The members of the armed underground, liquidated and detained in the course of a large-scale special operation in the Malgobek District and the city of Malgobek, had intentions to commit resonance terror acts in Ingushetia during the September events dedicated to the "Day of Knowledge", the "Interfax" quotes the spokesman for the FSB Department for Ingushetia.
