Resident of Ingushetia reports kidnapping of his son, a policeman

The whereabouts of Ruslanbek Agiev, a resident of Malgobek and an employee of the Ingush MIA, who disappeared on August 23, remains unknown, said his father Aslan Agiev.

The father wrote in his application to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" that his son, an employee of the departmental security office at the Malgobek ROVD (District Interior Division), was guarding the Malgobek City Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Department for Ingushetia of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). On the day of kidnapping he was on his way home after his on duty shift.

"According to the neighbours, who were eyewitnesses of the incident, when Ruslanbek was near the house, a VAZ car with the registration number 106, of the 6th region (Republic of Ingushetia) stopped near him. Three armed men in masks and camouflage jumped out of the car; they tried to force Agiev into the car, but he resisted. A fight burst out; the fourth kidnapper jumped out of the car and hit Ruslanbek's head. He lost consciousness. The kidnappers put him into the car and drove away to some unknown destination," said the father of the kidnapped person.

The neighbours reported the incident to the police and Aslan Agiev. On the same day, Aslan met the President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, who promised to take the search of Ruslanbek Agiev under his personal control.
